AMY MCDONOUGH

Musical Theatre/ Street Dance


Amy is an amazing, bubbly performing arts teacher and will be teaching our Musical theatre and Street dance classes.
She studied Performing Arts at College and went on to do musical theatre at Drama School. She has taught singing, musical theatre and street dance at various schools (including Stagecoach Southgate and Theatretrain Waltham Forest). She is currently performing with Bellapopera.

JOELLE PHILLIPS 

Director

Joelle is our Co founder and director and has a background in both education and professional music. He has been a music teacher for 6 years but has worked with children all over london in many different capacities for 17 years. 

He has a background in music technology, sound engineering, songwriting, choir leading and woodwind.

He has run successful music events in the UK and abroad, and also has 10+ years experience of making music professionally.

TESSA CAVANNA

Songwriting 

Tessa has an amazing, infectious energy and will be teaching our songwriting classes. She has been a youth worker and mentor for 5 years, and has run music sessions for the last 7 years, focusing mostly on building young people's confidence and self esteem by expressing themselves through playing, creating and exploring music.


She is also a professional neo-soul singer and is also a massive fan of Hip-hop, jazz, soul, folk, Dub and trip-hop, working on a variety of genres and scenes from radio pop, to underground sounds.

In her solo work, she produces music from samples and found sound as well as vocal manipulation and layered harmonies.

LENA CULLEN

Ukulele/Drumming/singing


Lena is a professionally trained multi-instrumentalist and singer, with over 15 years experience teaching children. Currently working as the music teacher at Duncombe Primary School in North London, Lena has also taught at other schools and establishments including Hugh Myddelton Primary, Hanover Primary, Islington Arts Factory and Millfield Arts Centre. Her main ethos as a teacher is to inspire creative expression and confidence, bringing forth the joy of music.
Lena has performed on stage, in studios and at festivals since she was a child. This experience has helped to encourage any aspiring children that wish to write, play and perform music. Many of the children she has taught have gone on to become outstanding musicians, performing at such venues as The Royal Albert Hall and at The Union Chapel.

ALFIE PALMER 

Guitar

Alfie is our fantastic Guitar teacher! As well as private lessons he has been performing around the south of England with his jazz fusion trio and function band for the last few years.
He is currently completing a degree in music performance at ACM Guildford, having previously completed two A level music qualifications.
